Sharm el-Sheikh (شرم الشيخ, also transliterated as Sharm ash Shaykh), often known   simply as "Sharm", is a city situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, in Janub Sina', Egypt, on the coastal strip between the Red Sea and Mount Sinai.

Sharm el-Sheikh is the administrative hub of Egypt's Southern Sinai province which includes the smaller coastal towns of Dahab and Nuweiba as well as the mountainous interior, Saint Catherine's Monastery and Mount Sinai. Sharm el-Sheikh is known as The City of Peace referring to the large number of international peace conferences that have been held there. Sharm el-Sheikh is also known for its glamorous lifestyle, attracting millions of people each year.

Coloured Canyon

Dahab

Ras Mohammed National Park
Ras Mohammed is Egypt's capital of the diving world and is located approximately 25 kilometres south-east of Sharm El Sheikh. The park contains uplifted coral reefs, alluvial plains, wadis, granite, sandstone mountains, soft sand dunes and mangrove trees and is home to many animal species, including foxes, gazelles and migratory birds. For many, Ras Mohammed's most stunning scenery is found underwater, in the broad, terraced coral reefs that encircle the peninsula. The Thistlegorm wreck can be accessed from here. Ras Nosrani National Park

St Catherine's Monastery
Set in the mountains of the Sinai, St Catherine's Monastery is one of the oldest known Christian monasteries in the world, built in the 6th century at the base of Mount Moses.
